During a time fuled by the constant and moment consumption of media over interpersonal organizations, it’s easy to imagine that education would take the backseat when it comes to innovation. With the advent of mobile computing and our increasingly connected lives as digital citizens, by what means would technology be able to help change how we learn and instruct, as a network?
These thoughts and other squeezing questions were only some of what participants to Schoology CONNECT PH 2019 handled. Held at Novotel Manila Araneta Center, the two-day conference hosted thought leaders and comprehensive taking in practitioners from around the country.
The first day saw four parallel breakout sessions with four speakers for every session. The sessions included introduction on such themes as innovative instructional practices, digital migration, new advances and mixes with rising instructive innovations (EduTech), digital citizenship and strengthening, user engagements techniques, blended learning, new bits of knowledge on student assesment, just as aggregate reflections on educators’ viewpoint about EduTech and how it shapes their practices.
The second day of the conference showcased a round-table discussion about best procedures in classroom instructing with a learning management system (LMS) called Schoology, one of the learning solutions given by REX to local schools.
During the meeting, two keynote talks were given to help put the event in perspective, with Tim Trinidad presenting his paper titled “Personalized Learning: A Game Changer for 21st Century Education” for the primary day, and Global EduTech Leadership Awardee Emie Baylon introducing “Showing the Holistic Child Through Technology” for the second day.
Schoology started life in the classroom, a task began in 2009 by its founders when they perceived how education technology at the time was missing the mark concerning its objective to improve learning encounters.
“We dont’t just want to digitize existing pedagogies. We are creating solution that enable teachers to utilize technology to effortlessly move to further developed strategies —, for example, personalized learning,” shared Schoology co-founder and Engineering Lead,” Tim Trinidad.
As a platform, Schoology helps youthful students and training experts to connect and collaborate, helping each other by framing an advanced learning community that aims to personalized the learning process through a holistic approach.
